Lisa Davidson
Lisa Davidson is the coordinator
of the MSU Employee Assistance Program and a facilitator of the Breaking Free
from Stress courses offered through MSU Human Resource Development. Lisa is a
clinical social worker whose areas of expertise include addiction and recovery
counseling, teaching healthy relationship skills, and principles of stress reduction.
Lisa's passion is teaching people how to access and stay connected to their common sense,
wisdom, and perspective no matter what challenging circumstances they face. Learning to
operate in a high quality state of mind allows people to respond effectively to conflict/change
with greater ease and satisfaction. Lisa has worked in the Employee Assistance arena since 1994.
Lisa received her Masters Degree in Clinical Social Work from MSU in 1992, and her Bachelor's in
Social Work from Eastern Michigan University in 1988. In addition to her work at MSU, Lisa is the
co-founder of Lakeside Consulting, a training and consulting firm incorporated in 1999, dedicated to
teaching the principles of Health Realization to people in government and non-profit organizations.
Lisa's hobbies include celebrating her family and friends, being outdoors, and learning to
play guitar.
