about the eap

The MSUeap is a free, confidential counseling service available to MSU employees and their family members. Click here for more information about our services.

If you would like more information about the EAP at MSU, please give us a call at 517-355-4506 or 1-888-280-9478, or drop us an email.

Welcome.

We welcome you to the MSUeap website and invite you to "come on in" and learn about our program and how we can best assist you and/or your family in the year 2012.

The pages of this website will introduce you to the staff of the MSUeap and the overall mission of the program. You will find information about program eligibility as well as the specific services we provide. You will also be introduced to the philosophical perspective the program is grounded in. There is a staff resource page that can connect you with MSU related resources as well as point you toward some community resources you may find helpful in addressing your presenting problems.  In the coming months we will be adding information and resources about topics related to protecting and enhancing your emotional wellness and mental health.

MSU Construction Alert:

  • If you are coming from the east, please park in one of the City of East Lansing parking ramps and walk across Grand River Ave to the Olin Health Center, as you will not be able to access the Olin Health Center from Grand River Ave.
  • Maps of the on-campus road closures are available here: May Closures and June Closures.

Program Policy Update:

Due to increased utilization of EAP services and existing staffing resources it is critically important that we make best use of the counseling appointments we are able to provide to the campus community.

If you are unable to keep a scheduled appointment, please call with at least 24 hours advance notice so that your appointment time can be reassigned to another person who may be on a waiting list for service.

Effective 1-9-2012: If you miss an appointment, or cancel with less than 24 hours notice that appointment will count as one of your sessions.

*Note: in case of emergencies exceptions may be made at the discretion of the counselor.
